I began working at Saco & Biddeford Savings Bank as a seasonal teller when I was in college, and in that time I developed an appreciation for the organization. I also had the opportunity to work in the Accounting department as an intern for a year.
Working at the bank provided me opportunities to expand my knowledge and benefits that made me feel valued. It was these early positive experiences with SBSI, coupled with the desire for a career change, that led me to re-apply.
Having worked six years as an Accountant, the opportunity to lead a great team as the Financial Operations Manager was compelling. I was able to leverage the experience I gained at my prior employment, continue to grow my wealth of knowledge and collaborate with great people.
Since my move back to SBSI, I’ve continued as the Financial Operations Manager and I really enjoy what I do. When I’m not working, I like to spend my free time training for road races. Running provides a great community and a great way to achieve goals. I am also co-lead of the run group Old Port Pub Run in Portland and volunteer on the board for Maine Health Care at Home.
I truly feel that SBSI provides an environment of success. It stays true to the mission of being a Mutual Bank, and I am proud to work for an organization that invests in its employees and community.
