Fall seven times, stand up eight. - Japanese Proverb
The capacity to recover from difficulties merely scratches the surface of the resilience Crystal Blow embodies. She was working at a job in hopes of advancement and facing unhealthy personal circumstances. Knowing that she could rise above the challenges at hand, she made a change and left the situations that no longer served her.
Crystal started an office job and not soon after her new journey began, the pandemic hit and she was laid off. Her work ethic had allowed her to develop a healthy savings, but Crystal knew that her nest egg wouldn’t last forever and she needed to do something. That’s when she received the phone call that would bring her back to her feet.
Expressions Boutique owner Christine had plans of selling her Saco Main Street business. Christine had the perfect long time customer in mind she wanted to have first dibs on the opportunity. Christine called a surprised and humbled Crystal, and offered her the opportunity. The ladies worked out an agreement and Crystal is now the proud owner of her store, AllKinds Boutique.
Crystal has been working hard with new vendors to bring in a clean, fresh modern vibe. She’s looking forward to seeing familiar faces, and welcoming new ones. “I feel right at home,” Crystal says, “all of the Main Street neighbors have been so welcoming and swing by to check in or offer a meal.”
“I am most excited about forming and maintaining relationships with customers,” she said. “I feel like I’ve hit my goal if customers leave with a smile; that’s all I really want, to make people happy.”
Keep a lookout on the Saco Main Street Facebook page for a scheduled ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome Crystal and AllKinds Boutique to Saco!
