I started block printing around 2016, which involves printing patterns with engraved wooden blocks. By hand it’s a slow process, but it’s a special art form for that reason. Every piece I make is unique to itself.
I started with paper and later I transitioned into doing block printing on fabric. Now I sell all kinds of things: Stickers, fabric patches, carvings, drawings, lunar calendars and more. I’m really drawn to pastel flowers and colors, and my work features a lot of recurring themes associated with moons, butterflies, owls and wolves.
I’ve always been very inspired by the outdoors and magic. It’s hard to explain what it is about those things that motivates me to incorporate them into my artistic works, but I think it comes down to the fact that those are the things that make me happy. And I want to share my happiness with others.
