We are the Queens and King of Multitasking.
This year will be my 34th year in business. Before Payroll Matters, I was a bookkeeper for the City of Woonsocket, RI. When I moved on from that, I spent some time working for a company in Massachusetts on payroll services.
I was approached by a programmer to start a company in October of 1987. I didn’t think twice because that gave me the opportunity to move to Maine.
We serve over 400 clients, and have programs written just for us. I believe in the philosophy of creating habits rather than breaking habits.
I work with our team for training, and truly believe I have the best co-workers around.
“I was a factory worker in the blanket department of the Mills. Lucille gave me an opportunity and I can't imagine working anywhere else. We know the voices of our clients and we are authentic and personal. It makes a difference.” - Denise, 20 Years
“Working for a small company has been nothing short of extraordinary. We are a work family, and we’re very close. Usually you don’t see the boss, but Lucille trains us and she’s not too proud to do the same work we do. You don’t find too many owners who see themselves as part of the team.” - Kim, 8 Years
“I’m the new guy, and the first male to ever work in the office. The work we do is fun, and you really have to love it because payroll can drive you crazy. I’m excited for this opportunity and already feel welcome and part of the family.” Nathan, Newest Member
The sentiments my co-workers shared are humbling and I’m proud to work beside them every day. I know wholeheartedly I never have to worry because we truly work as a team.
