“Since I began working for the bank in September of 1991, I have had the honor and privilege to work with some intelligent, energetic and inspiring people — all of whom really care about SBSI, their fellow employees and the communities in which they live.
I feel so fortunate to have been a part of such a great organization for over 31 years.
SBSI not only cares for its employees, but also deeply cares for the communities in which we have a presence. Also, with inflation at near record levels, the Bank is certainly aware of the difficulty people are having making ends meet.
During my employment at SBSI, I happened to park next to Most Holy Trinity Church on Main St. in Saco during my work shift. On Mondays they host dinners for the needy and over time I’ve noticed that the lines just continue to grow. It is evident that the need to help others is increasing.
Their commitment to supporting local people, businesses and organizations is another reason why I loved working there. I would have never been given the chance to make a difference in peoples’ lives if it weren’t for the Bank’s commitment to me, and for that I am forever grateful.
I will certainly miss all the people I’ve had the pleasure to work with through the years. Each and every one of them have left a lasting impact on my life.
My wife Chrissy and I plan to travel for a few months this winter and spring, either to Arizona, Florida or South Carolina. We have family and friends in those areas so it will be fun I am sure.
We will continue spending time with our daughter, Lauren, her fiancé, Jay, and their two great kids; Henry (who is two-years-old) and Natalie who is six-months-old. We will also spend time with my son Jonah and his wife Emily, and my mom, Rita who is 90 years young (and is one of the bank’s oldest customers). I can’t forget to mention our loyal dog, Murphy, who travels with us wherever we go.
In retirement, I’m very much looking forward to sleeping in (at least until 6:30), relaxing a bit more than usual, golfing with friends and enjoying my newest hobby, Pickleball.”
