Before working at Saco & Biddeford Savings, I lived in Vermont for 19 years. My husband is originally from Maine, and we decided to move back to be closer to friends and family. We bought a house in the country.
I’ve always loved both the city and country. I feel my best when I have a good mix of both in my life, so I knew from the beginning that I wanted to work in a downtown location. After working for two corporate banks in Vermont, I was looking forward to the change with a smaller community Mutual savings bank.
When I saw that there was a new office opening in Portland, I immediately applied. I was originally hired as a Business Banking Officer Supervisor in 2017, and was promoted to AVP Business Banking Officer Manager in January of 2018.
I have worked closely with Mortgage originators the past 12 years, and decided in 2021 I needed to make a change and applied for a Loan Officer position. I have been in Lending most of my banking career and knew that I wanted to take this next step and add Residential Loans to my lending experience.
I still manage our office in Portland, but I often spend most of my time working with customers on obtaining their Home Ownership goals.
I love meeting new people, getting to know them and bonding over that shared experience. Each day, I look forward to helping people achieve their goals — whether it is an investment purchase, home renovation, refinance or first home.
When I’m not here, I love to spend my time outdoors. Since living here, I’ve discovered my love for gardening and birdwatching. I have 3 dogs and a cat at home, and in the summertime I like to walk trails behind my home with my dogs and just tend to my flowers and vegetable garden. I just love immersing myself in nature.
I’m so grateful to be able to work in Portland and I love our location here on the waterfront. It’s so nice to get outside on my lunch break and smell the salty fresh air. I love the hustle and bustle of the summertime, and the quietness of the winter.
We have a great group in our office and I couldn’t be happier with what we’ve created these past five years. I look forward to the many years ahead!
Please join us in congratulating Tammy Tracy on her five year work anniversary!
