Tom Quentin is celebrating his 5-year work anniversary at Paquin & Carroll Insurance in January!
Before joining the team in 2020, Tom’s first experience with the insurance world came when he decided to reach out to utilize P&C’s services directly. He was impressed by the exceptional service he received from Lynnsey McDonough, his agent at the time (and current Vice President of Personal Lines), and credits this experience to having a lasting impact on him.
Additionally, Tom grew up around Saco & Biddeford Savings because his father, Bob Quentin, had worked at the Bank his entire childhood. Bob most recently served as the President and CEO before retiring in December 2023.
During his college years,Tom worked as a Seasonal Teller at SBSI, where he took great pride in offering high quality customer service. The sense of community and employee loyalty at SBSI made a deep impression on him.
So when the opportunity arose to join P&C Insurance as a Commercial Lines Account Manager in late 2019, he knew it was a good fit right from the start. He quickly excelled, and within his first year, was promoted to a sales position. When the agency’s in-house accountant unexpectedly left, Tom was able to utilize his background in accounting and stepped into the role.
Today, he wears two hats: managing a small portfolio of commercial clients and handling the agency’s accounting. This unique balance allows him to stay engaged with the day-to-day operations while contributing to the company’s financial strategy and planning.
For Tom, the best part of working at P&C is the people. “It may sound a little cliché, but it’s true,” he said. “Working with people that you like and would want to go to bat for is special, and it’s not something I take for granted.”
Outside of work, Tom enjoys reading, golfing and spending time with family and friends.
