Biddeford Oktoberfest
Saturday, September 30th

Heart of Biddeford has teamed up with Banded Brewing Co., Batson River Brewing and Blaze Brewing to bring one of the best beer traditions right to downtown Biddeford.

They’ll be blocking off a section of Lincoln Street so you can celebrate in true fest-style with festbiers, food trucks and vendors, live music, and yard games! Lorne Wine will be offering a selection of German wines, and Pint & Pawn will be bringing a selection of games in addition to cornhole, ringtoss, and more! This daytime event is family friendly, and they look forward to celebrating with the full community.

A $25 wristband purchase includes admission to music, games, and food trucks, as well as 4 drink tickets (good for two .5L pours, or four .25L pours), and a small donation to Heart of Biddeford.

The first 600 ticket-buyers will also receive an official Biddeford Oktoberfest-branded plastic stein!

Discounted tickets ($10) available at the entrance for non-drinkers/attendees ages 13-20. Children age 12 and under will be granted free admission. Limited tickets will be available for $30 day-of.

Best Buddies Champion of the Year Gala is a competitive fundraising campaign that unites and recognizes leaders of inclusion in local communities nationwide.

Champion Candidates commit to raising funds and awareness for Best Buddies throughout their campaign. The Champions advocate for the Best Buddies mission and will generate countless opportunities for friendships, jobs, and leadership development. At the Best Buddies Champion of the Year celebration, they honor the Champions’ collective impact and name the ultimate Champion of the Year!

Ready for some holiday shopping? You’ll find unique handmade gifts at the 40th Annual League of Maine Craft Show in Wells, November 4 & 5.  The juried show, held at the Wells Jr. High School on Rte. 1 (1470 Post Road), features Maine and New England artists and craftsmen. Shows are Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Sunday from 10am to 3pm.

The fair is a tradition for visitors and locals alike. The aisles are filled with creativity: Jewelry, pottery, photography, soaps, clothing and accessories, candles, wood crafts, fiber arts, handcrafted specialty foods and much more.

Join naturalist Marcia Wilson and photographer Mark Wilson in person for Maine Audubon’s annual live owl show. Each show includes a hooting lesson, an entertaining slideshow and a close-up look at several different owl species.

This year, the program is outdoors under a tent and no walk-in tickets will be offered. Please dress warmly!

People of all ages love this show – get close and personal with live owls!  This program will sell out quickly!  If you are thinking of getting tickets, don’t wait!

Three Shows: 

♦ 10:30-11:15 am – This is a shorter show meant for a younger audience, and will include a story read-a-long and the live owl show.

♦ 12:30-1:45 pm – the regular show for all ages includes a slide presentation called “Owls Up Close” plus the live owl show.

♦ 2:30-3:45 pm – same as the second show

Admission Fees:

The Wilsons (Dunstable, MA) first brought their owls to Maine Audubon in 1999 and have come to Gilsland Farm annually since 2003. Their owl sanctuary is licensed to house up to 22 owls and they typically bring six to eight owls of different species with them when they come to Maine. Learn more at their website, eyesonowls.com.

Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern-day Christmas classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner ELF.

Get your JOLLY on for the Holidays! You’ll run along the beaches and roads of the Kennebunks of Maine for the 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run and Elf Dash all out of LIVE Catering.
