SpringFest is a South Portland free community celebration that will return to Mill Creek Park from 11AM - 3PM and this year it will be bigger, better and even more fun! 

Featuring free, family-friendly activities. Festival favorites like live entertainment at the Gnome-zebo, touch-a-truck, the Hinckley Street Food Truck Takeover, community art project, and more will return, ensuring a fun-filled SpringFest for all ages.

Saco Main Street invites you to celebrate 25 years at an elegant evening Gala at the stunning River Winds Farm & Estate. This milestone celebration will bring together community members, local business owners, and longtime supporters for a night to remember.

Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres expertly crafted by Blue Elephant, live music from DJ Mel the British, and an exciting silent auction benefitting Saco Main Street’s work to keep downtown Saco vibrant. Whether you’ve been with Saco Main Street from the beginning or are just discovering the magic of Saco’s downtown, this is the perfect occasion to raise a glass to everything we’ve built together and everything still to come!

This celebratory event promises to be a beautiful and memorable night. This event is 21+, formal attire requested.

Join us at the 2nd Annual Maine Needs Community Walk & Race presented by Maine Beer Company!

This event is a family-friendly community effort that brings together students, families, local businesses, and community members to do what's right for a morning of fun, fitness, and fundraising. The event features a 5K run combined with a 3.5 mile run and 3.5 mile walk. Attendees will also enjoy visiting with local non-profits and event sponsors, face painting for kids, a DJ, Maine Needs merch for sale, coffee, snacks and more! 

All proceeds help support Maine Needs mission of providing basic material goods for individuals and families throughout Maine.

Each week, Maine Needs receives 1,000+ requests from caseworkers, teachers, nurses and street outreach teams for basics, such as; sneakers, boots, clothing, outdoor gear, socks, underwear, diapers, bedding, towels, kitchen basics, baby gear, tents, sleeping bags, soap, deodorant and cleaning products. These items reach individuals and families all over Maine that are going without these essential items. 

Over 6,000 volunteers support the work of 523 providers from 265 organizations across Maine.

The Saco Main Street Sidewalk Arts Festival Committee invites you to attend the 55th Annual Saco Main Street Sidewalk Arts Festival from 9AM - 3PM back this year on Main Street in Saco, where for over 5 decades this festival has truly come alive!

Over a thousand people attend this annual event where more than 75 artists and craftsmen display a rich variety of artwork, photography, and sculpture.

Join the pack at 12PM at Saco's favorite event for dog lovers and their four-legged friends!

Bark in the Park is the ultimate celebration of all things canine, drawing hundreds of attendees eager for tail-wagging fun. This paw-some day features a pet-friendly vendor fair, a crowd-pleasing doggy parade, agility demonstrations, a spirited dog costume contest, live music, food trucks, and countless other fur-ocious attractions.

The annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival returns on October 24th from 11AM - 3PM, transforming C.K. Burns School into a bustling celebration of all things fall.

This event features cherished traditions and a day full of autumn activities for all ages.

Highlights include the enchanting pumpkin patch, filled with creatively decorated pumpkins, and the lively pie-eating contest, live music, pony rides, carnival area, and over 60 vendors at C.K. Burns School.

This beloved festival celebrates community spirit and the magic of autumn.

November 22, 2026

4th annual Main Street Market starts at 9AM at the Thornton Academy Linnell Gym, and combines the spirit of community and the joy of local shopping. It’s an opportunity to experience the creativity of local artisans and crafters and get a jump-start on holiday shopping.

This event brings together over 60 talented vendors. From handcrafted jewelry and artisanal home goods to festive decor and and cozy apparel, there’s something for everyone.

The Holiday Festival & Parade of lights is a festive Saco tradition, blending festive daytime fun with the dazzling parade in the evening.

During the daytime festival, families can enjoy story time with Santa, live carolers on Main Street, winter craft activities, the Festival of Trees at the Saco Museum, and other holiday activities before the Parade of Lights takes center stage. With glowing floats, lively dancers, and holiday displays, Main Street transforms into a winter wonderland.
