In addition to the accounts listed above, we are proud to participate in the Interest On Lawyer's Trust Account and the REALTORS Affordable Housing Fund.
This account is offered to lawyers as a trust account for their client's funds. The program allows attorneys to place client funds in an interest-bearing account and that interest is paid to the Maine Bar Foundation.
The Maine Bar Foundation then pools the funds received for the program, and dedicates them to support civil legal aid for low income and disadvantaged people, law related education and administration of justice projects.

The concept of this program is a partnership between local banks and local realtors. Earnest money deposits that realtors receive are deposited into these accounts and the interest earned on the funds is forwarded to the Maine Association of Realtors. The association distributes the funds in the form of grants to successful applicants.
