SBSI (also referred to herein as “Administrators” or “Moderators” or “Sponsor”) is not a part of Facebook's Staff or Administration. Facebook does not endorse, sponsor, or administer SBSI’s contests and by participating you are not providing any information to Facebook. SBSI has zero control over glitches / changes that Facebook makes to its website and thus, SBSI cannot be held liable for any issues that may arise from Facebook's glitches / terms changes / or changes to its website in general. Furthermore, because Facebook in no way endorses, sponsors or administers SBSI contests, by participating in any SBSI contests you agree to release and otherwise hold harmless Facebook, and its employees and agents from any liability related to SBSI’s contests conducted on Facebook.

NO PURCHASE OR ACCOUNT RELATIONSHIP WITH SBSI IS NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. A PURCHASE OR ACCOUNT RELATIOSHIP WILL NOT IMPROVE AN INDIVIDUAL’S CHANCES OF WINNING. NEED NOT BE PRESENT TO WIN. Open only to lawful permanent residents of The United States, 18 years of age or older and must not be considered a minor. Employees, Officers, Directors, and Officials of SBSI and their immediate families, (i.e. parents, children, siblings, spouse) and members of their households (whether related or not) are ineligible to participate in any of these contests.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
When you participate in a SBSI “Contest,” you agree to abide by the following code of conduct. If this code of conduct is violated you may be banned from the contest and any future contests at the discretion of the Administrators.
- A. You are responsible for the content of all submissions made from your account. If your account or your submission is in violation of any of the rules contained herein, your submission will not be approved.
- B. NO obscene, curse, or swear words are allowed.
- C. You will treat SBSI and its Staff who administer these contests with respect or you will be banned from future contests. NO WARNINGS.
- D. You will treat other members and visitors of SBSI’s contest with respect and positive attitudes or we will ban you. NO WARNINGS.
- E. Comments that are determined to be in violation of this section may be removed by an Administrator or Moderator with or without notification.
- F. Please do not post ANY advertisements of any kind including advertisements for other contest pages or groups without permission.
1. How to Enter This Contest
To be entered in a specific contest, if you are eligible as set forth above, comment on the contest thread for a chance to win by the deadline set forth in the contest post. Specifically, a question will be posted on the SBSI Facebook wall by SBSI (when a contest is being held). Commenting on the post will count as a contest entry. By entering into a contest each contestant declares the he or she has complied with the Contest Rules. Further, the winner of the Contest must conform to all directions given by SBSI or their participation in the Contest will be denied. All entries and/or comments become the property of SBSI, and will not be returned to entrants. Incomplete or illegible entries are void. Non-compliance with any entry procedure will result in disqualification.
2. Contest Period
The Contest will extend for the period set forth in the contest post.
All entries must be received by SBSI by the deadline specified in the contest posting in order to be included in the prize drawing. SBSI is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected or incomplete entries. All entries shall be for the contest entered and one drawing only. A new entry is needed for each individual contest.
3. Prize
Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution IS NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THE CONTEST WINNER DOES NOT USE THE PRIZE BEFORE ANY ESTABLISHED EXPIRATION DATE. ESTIMATED VALUES OF PRIZES WILL VARY. SBSI makes no representations or warranties regarding any prizes offered and shall not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from the contest winner’s use of any prize.
NO SUBSTITUTION OF THE PRIZE IS PERMITTED EXCEPT BY SBSI IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION. SBSI RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SUBSTITUTE THE PRIZE WITH ANOTHER PRIZE OF EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE. PRIZE IS NOT REDEEMABLE FOR CASH OR CREDIT, IN WHOLE OR IN PART.
4. Winner Selection & Qualification
After the posted contest closing date, a random drawing will be executed to select the recipient(s) of the prize from all eligible entries received.
The winner(s) will be notified by receiving a reply to their specific comment within the post’s thread letting them know that they are the winner. The winner will be notified by SBSI via a private message on Facebook Messenger letting them know they are the winner. The winner must respond by indicating at which branch location they would like to pick up their prize.
The prize winner(s) must collect the prize at an agreed upon SBSI location. Under no circumstances will SBSI ask winners or any other participants to provide personal information (such as credit card or account information or a social security number) in order to qualify for a social media contest or to claim a prize.
The odds of winning the prize will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received on or before the applicable contest closing date. Selected entrant(s) who have not successfully provided SBSI with contact information or arranged for the pickup of the prize by the following Sunday at midnight (EST) after the Tuesday announcement will be deemed ineligible and will result in a new name being selected from the qualified entrants. This process shall continue until the prize has been awarded. THE NAME OF THE PRIZE WINNER(S) MAY BE PUBLICLY ANNOUNCED AT THE DISCRETION OF SBSI. By entering this Contest, the entrants agree to accept and abide by these contest rules and regulations. The prize winner(s) may be required to complete and return a release form in order to redeem their prize.
5. General Terms & Conditions
By entering any SBSI contest, entrants agree to abide by the terms of these rules and the decisions of SBSI, which are final on all matters pertaining to any contest. All Maine, Federal, State and Local laws and regulations apply. All taxes, fees, and surcharges on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winner(s). Return of the prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner(s).
By entering, participants release and hold harmless SBSI, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents (collectively, “Contest Entities”) from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the contest, or from the use or acceptance of the prize won.
The contest winner(s) is responsible for all expenses not covered or included with the prize. The contest winner(s) is under no obligation to use or redeem the prize.
These contest rules will be accessible from SBSI’s Facebook page via a link to SBSI’s website throughout the contest duration, except in the event of technical difficulties. SBSI reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or contest web page; to be acting in violation of the contest rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF A CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE CONTEST SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
SBSI RESERVES THE RIGHT TO JUDGE THE VALIDITY AND/OR ACCEPTABILITY OF ALL CONTEST ENTRIES BASED ON ITS INTERPRETATION OF THE RULES. SBSI RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REMOVE CONTEST PARTICIPANTS AT ITS OWN DISCRETION.
6. Limitations of Liability
SBSI is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in a contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in a contest. SBSI assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. If, for any reason, a contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of SBSI which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of a contest, SBSI reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. Except as expressly warranted, the prize is provided to the winner(s) “as is” without further warranty of any kind. IN NO EVENT SHALL SBSI BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES EVEN IF SBSI HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
