Krysteana Scribner, Social Media Marketer

Kyrsteana ScribnerKrysteana joined SBSI in 2021, bringing a background in storytelling, journalism, and digital marketing. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Media and Communications from the University of Southern Maine, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of The Free Press student newspaper. Her writing has appeared in The Forecaster, Bangor Daily News, and Portland Press Herald. Before SBSI, she also worked in videography, photography, podcasting, and newspaper layout and design. Outside of work, Krysteana enjoys reading, singing and songwriting, and spending time outdoors.

Jeannie Stanhope, Officer, Executive Coordinator

Jeannie Stanhope

Jeannie joined SBSI at the start of 2024 and works most closely with the President & CEO, Board of Directors and Senior Team. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Maine at Farmington and has a diverse professional background including 16 years as a fifth grade classroom teacher, a fourteen year career in Property & Casualty insurance, and seven years in banking. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to visit family on Cape Cod, in Manhattan and in Maine. She’s most fond of summer, the beach, her pool and traveling to warm destinations with her husband, Don.

Chad Boucher, VP, Assistant Treasurer

Chad BoucherChad serves as the Vice President Treasurer at SBSI. A Maine native and a graduate of the University of Southern Maine's School of Business, he brings experience in regulatory and management reporting, with a strong focus on financial analysis and compliance. Outside of his professional life, Chad enjoys spending time with family and friends, running and exploring interesting finance topics.

Marc Lamontagne, AVP, Loan Officer

Marc LamontagneMarc joined SBSI in 2001 and serves as Assistant Vice President, Loan Officer, bringing with him a rich banking background with managerial experience from his career in the industry. His educational journey includes graduating from Biddeford High School in 1982 and earning a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Maine Orono in 1986. Deeply invested in his community, Marc has been an active board member for Kids Free to Grow/Connections for Kids since 2006 and for St. Andre Home since 2021. Residing in Old Orchard Beach with his companion Kathy, he cherishes spending quality time with his loved ones, including his three adult children and beloved cat Alice. Marc’s personal interests also include attending Renaissance Fairs and cruising in his classic cars.

Travis Vacchiano, Business Banking Office Assistant Manager

Travis joined SBSI in 2015 and serves as the Assistant Branch Manager for Business Banking in Portland. Through the years, he’s worked in a variety of roles within the company, including working as a Teller and Customer Relationship Associate. A South Portland High School alumni, Travis graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a degree in Forensic Accounting and Auditing in December 2024. In his free time, he enjoys reading and spending quality time with his family and friends. He currently resides in Portland with his husband and their two dogs.

Julie Mardas, Customer Relationship Officer

Julie Mardas

Julie joined SBSI in 2023 as a Customer Relationship Officer. She earned her Associates Degree in Communications and New Media from Southern Maine Community College and has prior experience working in customer service and sales. In her free time, Julie enjoys fishing, boating, fitness, visiting Fenway Park and cheering on the Celtics.

Emily Hamm, Customer Relationship Officer

Emily first joined SBSI as a Seasonal Teller in 2022, and after a short break to work for the Disney Company, graduated early from college with an English degree and returned to SBSI in 2023 as a Customer Relationship Officer. Her background is enriched with diverse experiences that include being a tutor, teacher’s aide, providing peer mentorship, and doing advocacy work on her college campus. Emily’s primary focus in advocacy would be domestic violence prevention and awareness, including training the college athletes to meet their NCAA requirements. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, with a special fondness for moments shared with her dog, Bear.

Crysta C. Frost, Financial Services Assistant at S&B Financial Services

Crysta C. FrostAs a Licensed Sales Assistant, Crysta Frost performs a broad range of administrative and customer service activities to help support S&B Financial Services. Some of her responsibilities include scheduling financial advisor sales calls and appointments, maintaining marketing materials, and supporting sales initiatives and events.

Crysta graduated from Smith College in 2015 with bachelor’s degrees in psychology and education. Prior to joining S&B Financial, she worked as Front Office Manager of Dunstan Dental Center, where she discovered her interest in the world of finance. She created charts and posters, investigated insurance claims, educated patients on how to save money, and taught employees how to use new software. Making a difference in people’s lives, no matter how small, has always been important to Crysta.

When she’s not working, Crysta can often be found organizing her home or relaxing with a good movie. She resides in Limington with her husband Austin and their dog Tank. In their free time, they like to venture out to new restaurants, coffee shops, and local breweries. As a member of New Life Church, a local church in Biddeford, Crysta has developed a deep appreciation for the surrounding communities.

Jim Gove, VP Business Credit Manager

Jim GoveJim worked for SBSI from 2007 to 2012 as a VP, Commercial Lender in the South Portland branch.  He returned to SBSI in 2022 as VP, Business Credit Manager. In his 38 years in banking, he has become a collaborative manager, problem solver, team and trust builder, and occasional author.  Jim graduated from Sanford High School and the University of Southern Maine.  He served on the Scarborough Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for six years and volunteers regularly at his church.  His interests include history, music, reading, playing with Legos, exploring Maine, and spending time with the grandchildren and granddogs. Jim and his wife Lisa currently reside in Scarborough.

Sophie Bredensteiner, Customer Relationship Associate

Sophie BredensteinerSophie joined SBSI in 2023 as a Customer Relationship Associate, with a background that includes communications at Simmons University and a marketing internship with the Girl Scouts of Maine. Beyond their professional endeavors, Sophie is honored to serve as a Compassion Through Action Champion for Scarborough, dedicating time and efforts to foster community well-being. In their free time, Sophie enjoys playing video games, watching comedic TV shows and spending time with their dogs Cinder and Good Boy. When they are feeling inspired, Sophie also enjoys drawing and painting.
