March 1, 2022
Before I started working at Saco & Biddeford Savings in 2017 as a teller, I was a pastry chef at Biscuits & Co. in Biddeford, and before that I owned a portrait photography business for 16 years.
If we go back even further, I actually was a teller at a local credit union just after graduating high school. That was my first experience in banking, so it seemed like a natural career move to go back and revisit it as an option.
Shortly after I was hired, I was promoted to a Customer Service Representative, and in 2019 was promoted again to Customer Relationship Officer. Up to that point, I had been working in customer service all of my life, and I started to feel like I needed a change.
So in the spring of 2021, when the position of Internal Auditor became available at the bank, I decided to apply and was accepted. While I knew it would be totally different than what I was used to, I was up to the challenge. I’ve been an auditor now for almost a year and I am thrilled with the career move.
I am so grateful to be working at SBSI. I truly feel that this bank exists for the benefit of the communities it serves. The philosophy of the bank and the people I work with make me feel proud to be employed here.
When I am not working, I like to spend time outdoors walking the beach, hiking, snowshoeing or gardening. I also love to cook and bake for family and friends, as well as dine at all the local places southern Maine has to offer.
