Kids Unite for Piggy Bank Beauty Contest at Mill Studio Arts

In celebration of Financial Literacy Month, we partnered with Mill Studio Arts to host a free Piggy Bank Beauty Contest for school-aged children!

On Friday, April 19th, from 10 AM to noon, Mill Studio Arts in Biddeford was transformed into a bustling hub of creativity. With all supplies provided by Mills Studio Arts, attendees were encouraged to bring nothing but their creativity and enthusiasm.

The contest was divided into three categories: funniest, prettiest, and most creative piggy banks. These themes sparked a wide array of designs, from piggy banks decorated with feathers and glitter to those that drew laughter with playful themes. The variety of designs showcased the unique perspectives and talents of each child’s imagination.

The event turned out to be so much more than just a crafting day. It was a community effort that brought families together, fostered creativity and highlighted the importance of financial literacy. It was a testament to how learning about money management can be both educational and entertaining!

A $100 contribution for a Youth Savings Account at SBSI will be given to the winner of each category (prettiest, funniest, most creative) and will be announced on Friday, May 3rd! Thank you to all who were able to attend, we look forward to next year's event already!
