Suzanne Nason, Customer Hospitality Coordinator at Saco & Biddeford Savings, is celebrating her 5-year work anniversary this month!
Suzanne brings a diverse background to SBSI, with experience in customer service, banking, sales, hospitality and marketing. She spent 7 years as a DJ at WCLZ and 15 years as a Marketing Director/Professional Relations Coordinator for a team of Oral Surgeons. In that role, she built lasting relationships across Maine.
Through the years, Suzanne has worked in various departments at SBSI, gaining valuable experience in customer service, marketing, and operations.
“I started out at SBSI as the Customer Experience Officer in the Residential and Business Loan Departments. I was, and still am, just in awe of the caliber of people that I work alongside every day. Everyone is incredibly professional and committed to offering the best possible customer experience. The culture here at SBSI is one of respect, honesty, excellence, integrity, teamwork and more!
While working in the Loan Department, I created materials to help our customers get to know our team better. I enjoyed building stronger relationships with our customers and gaining a deeper understanding of their needs. I particularly liked overseeing the progress of Construction Loans and visiting sites to display signs. Additionally, I was able to use my writing skills to create Loan Department Newsletters and edit select materials for our customers.
After 3 years, I moved to the Marketing Department, which proved to be a great fit for me given my past experiences. There, I enjoyed the opportunity to plan seminars for our customers and teammates, ordered promotional items and disbursed season tickets to see the Maine Mariners, Portland Sea Dogs and Maine Celtics, as well as for special concerts and events.
I contributed to content creation for P&C Insurance’s social media channels and compiled the SBSI Internal Newsletter. I enjoy overseeing our Avannis Survey program, where we gather important information from our customers regarding their experience banking with us.
In January 2025, I became the Customer Hospitality Coordinator, where I welcome customers to the Main Street branch in Saco. I look forward to helping our customers and getting to know them better, while also continuing to have some responsibilities in the Marketing Department.
When not at work, I enjoy being home and have a variety of hobbies! I love to cook and eat, sew and knit, and spend time with my family and friends. This Spring, I hope to get out on my bike more. Oh, and I absolutely love to watch the sunset every evening—I just can’t get enough of it!”
