Julie Villemaire is celebrating her 15-year work anniversary at Saco & Biddeford Savings!
“I have over 37 years of experience in the banking industry. Before joining Saco & Biddeford Savings, I worked for a small commercial bank that was later acquired by a larger institution. Over the years, I have developed meaningful relationships with many customers, which I highly value.
I had always heard excellent feedback about SBSI and their commitment to both customers and employees. Luckily, when they were constructing their sixth branch in Westbrook, I had the privilege of leading a remarkable team there and truly becoming part of the community for approximately nine years.
When we opened the Westbrook branch, we started from scratch: zero customers, deposits, or loans. It was an exhilarating yet daunting time for us, but we were warmly welcomed by the community. During my time there, I formed valuable friendships and established strong connections within the community.
After nine years, an opportunity arose that would allow me to be closer to home and spend more time with my three young grandchildren. In 2018, I assumed the role of VP & Branch Manager at our Biddeford branch.
Witnessing customers leaving my office with smiles on their faces and a spring in their step is incredibly rewarding. While it's impossible to please everyone, I genuinely believe that SBSI prioritizes its customers and employees. The company encourages its employees to actively engage with the community by participating in various organizations and events.
For the past 20 years, I have proudly been a member of the Rotary Club of Biddeford and Saco. SBSI fully supports my involvement with Rotary, and working here feels like being part of an extended family. You're not just a number. If life throws unexpected challenges my way, I know that SBSI will do everything they can to support me.
